Autogallery 1.90 Hungarian Translation
Upcomming Auto Gallery Version Hi people, I've been working on the new version of autogallery, and thought I'd let you in on it's new features. AG3 will has the focus on being much more efficient and faster to load. I'm re-arranging the backend to a OO-based one, which cleans up a lot of unecessary code. It also is a massive task, so I'm going to release this version as 3.0 (probably BETA for a while). No promises, but the features that should be added are: Ratings Themes/Style Templates Arcade Support IFrame Interface Thumbnails in Email-To-Friend Submit with Suggested Gallery Submit with Thumbnail Caching Timer slide show Stat Pages (Maybe) It'll probably take a couple of weeks. -Mr_Visible Posted by mr_visible on Friday 10 February 2006 - 22:34:03 Read/Post Comment: 6 Need some hardware advice OK, I'll get to all your questions/emails later, but right now I need your help: I'm in the middle of specing a new PC. My current PC is now over 5 years old (Athlon 1.4GHz + Geforce3), and I'm in desperate need for a new one. With the advent of full time work and not being a poor uni bum any more, I can now afford one. I'm not a hardware guy, so any help would be appreciated. So I've researched a bit and this is what I've come up with: CPU Heatsink : Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu - $56 HDD1 (Windows + Apps): Western Digital Raptor 10000RPM 74GB Serial ATA Hard Drive - $250 HDD2 (Video + storage): Western Digital 7200RPM 250GB SATA CAVIAR RE 16MB - $169 Optical : Pioneer DVR-110 16/8/6/8/5 DVD±R/+RW/-RW/±DL/RAM (Black) - $90 Case : Antec TX1050B Full-tower with 500watt SmartPower II PSU - $202 Motherboard : Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-SLI - $284 Sound : SoundBlaster Audigy 2 Value - $96 CPU : AMD Athlon64 3700+ San Diego Core HT2000 (Socket 939) - $345 Memory : Kingston DDR PC3200 400MHz ValueRam 2GB Kit (2x1024MB) - $295 Graphics : XpertVision GF 7800GT 256MB 256bit DDR3, SLI - $488 Total: $2275 AUD. Reasons: AMD Athlon64 3700+: Because AMD are the shit now, right? Plus I can always put a dual core in later on. WD Raptor HDD: Because it's the fastest drive on the market, and apparently makes a big performace difference WD 250GB: Apparently Western Digital are OK now, 5 years ago they were crap. But all the benchmarks seem to go well for them. Motherboard: Always liked gigabyte, this one has nForce4, SATA II, SLI, 10USB, PCI-Express X16, 2000 MHz FSB and heaps of other stuff. Graphics: 7800GT seems to kick ass in most real-world benchmarks and isn't ludicrously expensive. In addition to this, I can upgrade in the future through SLI. Alternatives: Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-K8N-SLI (not as much stuff like dual BIOS and extra SATA ports) - $166 ASUS A8N32-SLI (apparently better, plus it's black!) - $335 Sound: SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS - $164 Storage: 200gig Seagate 7200rpm SATA NCQ - $159 Sound good? Thanks for any help! -Mr_Visible Posted by mr_visible on Wednesday 25 January 2006 - 18:21:33 Read/Post Comment: 8 Security Vunrability in Auto Gallery IMPORTANT!! I've been negotiating a full-time position at my work I've gone away a couple of times I've been sick It's pretty hot here in Canberra (especially where my computer is) So I haven't really had time to update stuff on this site. However, I have up until the 9th of january off, so I plan to do a couple of things in that period (yes, yes, including Auto Gallery). Important Note: If anyone would like to help by finding where bugs exist in code so I may fix them, I would be very appriciative (I'll make a credits page in admin page so you can put your name and a link to your site). Merry christmas and a happy new year! -Mr_Visible Posted by mr_visible on Friday 30 December 2005 - 22:44:45 Read/Post Comment: 3 Auto Gallery 2.00 BETA is Here You probably all thought I was never going to get there, but I did! The day after I handed my last thing in for university, I worked on auto gallery. I hope you are all happy with this latest version. It is a BETA version, so please let me know about any bugs. I am expecting quite a few due to the massive changes. So what does it do differently? Well basically it includes an XML backend for meta data on the galleries and media. This enables: Descriptions (with BB code) User comments (also with BB code) Statistics (tracks the number of views and emails) Submission Info (who submitted the image and when) I chose XML for this purpose as I thought one of the main features of AG was that you could do almost everything without e107, i.e. through [link] This removed the clumsy-ness of the browser. When I started working on the database version, I realised that this would be lost, so I changed it all over to XML-based. The XML stuff can be turned off, and it is integrated into other parts of AG such as file submission (users can submit a description as well), email to a friend (description is displayed in email message), searching and the admin menu. In addition to this, it now: Allows for audio files (mp3 and wma) Has different 'unavailable' thumbs for images, flash, movies and audio Allows users to search for galleries and media Does error logging better Has an integrated batch chmodding tool Some other stuff I did months ago and forgot about Anyway, I'll make a post about uni later. I will deal with all your stuff (autogallery, BIMP and BFR especially) after that date. -Mr_Visible Posted by mr_visible on Tuesday 01 November 2005 - 19:56:37 Read/Post Comment: 0 Upgraded to 0.7 I was so tired of missing out on the new features of e107 0.7 and putting up with the bugs of 0.617 that I upgraded. Not everything is how it should be yet, you'll have to give me some time. All downloads and users should be right though. -Mr_Visible Posted by mr_visible on Tuesday 09 August 2005 - 07:54:36 Read/Post Comment: 0 Optimus Keyboard It's basically a kick-ass looking keyboard with little screens on every key, which means you can configure it to change based on the context/program. For example: Quake 3 . Plus the keys can be animated. It's still in production, and will use OLED technology for the displays. Not sure how useful it would be, but shit it's cool.
